I am pleased to announce the release of my second published work, Sartorius Atreyus, a 20,000-word saga set in the high period of Roman Imperium.
I completed the first manuscript in the summer of 2010 while studying Roman sociology at Cambridge University, under the brilliant tutelage of Dr. Jerry Toner, one of the world's leading experts on non-elite Roman history and slavery in the ancient world.
Â
I've had this work on my shelf for a long time, but it hasn't changed much since the first draft. It was one of those rare one-and-done writing experiences where the complete story comes to a writer like a waterfall from brain to pen to paper.
Like Sacred Monsters and the upcoming American Civics Series, this work has been completed for several years. I simply put off publishing as I dedicated my entire being to Suicide Prevention and mental health education.
SYNOPSIS: SARTORIUS (Sar-Tore-Ree-Us) ATREYUS (Uh-Tray-Us) was an exceptional man, born without the gift of a noble name, who believed he would rise by the sharpness of his mind and the blade in his hand. Â
